The Caparol 3D System Plus is one of Europe’s most renowned architecture-based color systems. Developed by the Caparol FarbDesignStudio, it was created for architects, interior designers, color planners, and craftsmen who demand the highest standards of color quality, material aesthetics, and visual harmony. With more than 1,300 precisely balanced shades, the system offers a wide spectrum of nuances based on human color perception and decades of design experience.
The collection follows a clearly structured 3D color model that organizes all tones by brightness, hue, and saturation, allowing for intuitive and accurate planning of harmonious color sequences, contrasts, and transitions.
The Caparol 3D System Plus is widely used in interior architecture, façade design, heritage preservation, and commercial projects. The colors are compatible with nearly all Caparol coating systems—from dispersion and silicate paints to lacquers and plasters. Its structured approach enables the creation of complete color concepts that are both functional and atmospheric.
Through qConv, Caparol colors can be digitally compared and converted to systems like RAL, NCS, Pantone, or CMYK. This allows designers and architects to communicate, document, and apply color values consistently across media—from CAD planning to high-end visualizations.
The Caparol 3D System Plus is structured according to a three-dimensional coordinate system that arranges color tones by lightness (L*), chroma (C), and hue (H). This makes it easy to plan harmonious gradations and contrasts. The system supports both analogous and complementary color combinations, forming a foundation for modern architectural and interior color design.
